Justin Alsedek - Bio
Justin’s artistic journey began in Harrisburg Pennsylvania in a home where creativity and music were highly encouraged. Starting out with pastel portraits, Justin knew he wanted a formal Art education. After graduating from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design with a BA in Fine Art Photography, Justin began the next phase of his journey as a traveling portrait artist. As he traveled from one beach town to another (this is where the name Gypsea Arts comes from) he perfected his craft and branched out into new mediums. After 8 years of steady travel Justin has landed (for now) in Ocala Florida with his wife and son. It’s here where he has been taking on art commissions, working on personal art projects and is now diving into the juried art show scene.
“My art falls in a few categories of style. Realism, surrealism, abstract-surrealism, digital graphic design. I have been inspired recently by the beauty of nature and the animals that inhabit it. I consider myself like an Art handyman, taking on a variety of commissioned art work over the years, and on more then one occasion, hopping into waters I've never swam in before (but don't tell my client.)”
